Stephen John Victor Frank Waters was born in Edmonton in 1902 (Edmonton Q1-1902 3A:871), son of Stephen and Elizabeth WATERS (née WALLAGE).
1911 census... Aged 9 he was at 36 Haringey Road, Hornsey with his father Stephen John WATERS [40] tin plate worker born Marylebone; his mother Elizabeth [33] born Clare, Suffolk and sister Nellie Maud [10] born Waltham Green, London. In Q4-1936, he married Pearl BARNETT in Edmonton. (? born 1912 in Fordham), later of Swaffham Bulbeck. In the 1939 register, at 36 Derwent Avenue, East Barnet, were his widower father Stephen J.WATERS [5-1-1871] a tourist office porter, Stephen J.V.F. himself [18-12-1901] a hotel maintenance engineer, and his wife Pearl [11-6-1912], recorded as later marrying THOMPSON (Cyril A. - Cambridge 1948) His death certificate gives the cause of death as pulmonary tuberculosis, an RAF pensioner, at Commercial End, Swaffham Bulbeck |
